While my entry point was dynamic, physically challenging Ashtanga and Rocket yoga, over the years my practice and teaching have evolved to incorporate slower, more intuitive, fluid movements and more crucially, the importance of rest and stillness. Physical movement and yoga philosophy led me towards seated meditation that has been transformative in my life to such a deep degree, that I couldn't resist the calling to learn about this technique rooted in Vedic lineage. I have been teaching it in person and online since 2019.

Cacao has been the most recent piece of the puzzle in my personal practices. As I opened up to this beautiful (and delicious!) plant medicine has created a pathway to ancient rituals and spiritual depth that is still very much relatable and accessible to my rational, modern mind. When I prepare and drink a cup of cacao, it is such a special moment when everything stops and realigns.

Becoming a mother as well as moving countries with two small children and starting afresh, has been a recent challenge that has tested the real impact of these practices. And while I can't claim to be always perfectly calm and smiling in the face of screaming children, I am thankful for the depth of awareness and simple tools that allow me to resource myself when sleep is hard to get by and taking spa breaks not an option. As a mother, I realise more than ever that looking after my own wellbeing on all levels is the key to being able to show up for others.

So while Remember Your Power is a reminder for my students, its creation comes from fulfilling my own deep desire for supportive community and meaningful conversations.

Yours truly,

Pavlína

Meet Pavlina

When you decide to work on your personal wellbeing and growth, it IS personal.

And the guide or teacher you work with needs to feel just right. So while it is best to meet, or at least speak first to see if we are the right match, here is a little bit about me, the person behind the programs you see on this website.

I have been on this journey of consciously tending to the needs of my body, mind and spirit for about 18 years, when I first discovered yoga. This exploration has been gathering momentum and depth since 2017 as I went to India to become a yoga teacher. I was stuck in a cycle of stressful job, addicted to the adrenaline highs that come with the fast-paced events industry. When it became unsustainable and I hit a low point, I decided to take the radical change of slowing down and going in.

FAQ

  • Do I need any previous experience?
No experience is needed. Come as you are with the richness of your own life experience. Everything we learn and explore is compatible with and enhancing other practices or techniques you might already have.
  • Are there any contraindications?
All practices are accessible and can be adapted. If you have any specific needs, or if you are pregnant, please do let me know in advance so I can create the best conditions for you.
  • What happens if I miss a session?
I know that life happens and unexpected things change plans often. The Remember Your Power sessions build onto each other, so it's best for you to attend all. If you miss one, we can catch up on what you missed and you will integrate it in the subsequent sessions. If you miss half or more, we can make arrangements for you to move to the next cohort.
  • What type of meditation do you teach?
It is a mantra based, effortless technique that tends to fall into a so called "Being Meditation". It comes from the vedic tradition and is closely related to Vedic, or Transcendental Meditation (TM). It is very easy to learn, effortless to practice, non-religious and highly impactful technique that is practiced daily in a comfortable seated position. You don't need to be able to sit cross-legged or be able to concentrate or even get rid of your thoughts!
  • What kind of breathwork do you teach?
I teach mainly so called "functional" breathwork techniqes designed to improve breathing patterns in your daily life. We mainly tap into techniques that down-regulate your nervous system, but also learn about tools to bring your energy up when needed. The first step is always to develop awareness of breath and understand your own breathing patterns and the mechanics of breathing.
  • What can I expect from the movement?
The movement I guide through is nurturing, mindful, explorative. You might recognise some shapes from your regular yoga classes, but be prepared to be surprised by where we take our bodies as we move around a yoga mat. Expect challenge as well as deep rest.
  • Do you offer one-to-one sessions?
Absolutely! I would love to support you in your unique situation if that's what most suitable. In many ways, small group setting is extremely beneficial and also a more cost-efficient way. However, if you require time flexibility or want to work through specific topics, working individually might be the answer. Let's speak to assess and find the best approach for you.
  • Is your offering for women only?
The Remember Your Power program. leading into the weekly Nurtured Sessions is woman-centred are only for those identifying as female. The rest of my offering is open to everyone irrespective of experience, background or identity.
